Sleep Help |
|
I have errm mild insomnia I guess you can say so I need help getting to sleep a lot. I read in a few places that if you lie down in bed awake for more then half an hour you should find a non stimulating activity to do till you are tired. The problem is I don't really know any activities like that. So I want to know some activities I could do and maybe some general sleep types.

For many people watching TV or listening to music helps, as long as the volume is kept to a minimum.
Doesn't help me, but try it out.
Also, try reading a book.

Pfft, you don't wanna bore him to sleep with the book, do you?
Yeah, music that doesnt make you go crazy (Rock, Metal etc.) helps a little. Other than that....

uhh... you could eat alot. Having lots of food in your system apparently makes you hungry. Just make sure to work it all off!

Run around a lot the whole day, work yourself up so you're exhausted.

I usually have a kick off point of 5am. By this I mean once I stay awake past that I am fucked and won't be able to sleep since it is daylight. It has happen like 4-7 times in the last few weeks.

I listen to Radiohead. . Exhausting yourself works well too, but it’s annoying to continually do so. And even though it’s supposedly not so good for you, eating/drinking a lot before bed helps me a lot.

Try to sleep in the fetus position. Or try to to perform a bunch of pushups.Around 50. |
I tried that push ups won't wear me out enough to be so tired to go asleep really fast. Right now I am trying to wake up everyday at the same time. No matter what time I go to sleep.

You can snack on a cookie in bed. Chocolate always gets me to sleep fast. Or candy in particular.

Having a crazy workout before bed is good. Lifting weights/ and or running.
Also, the sound of water?

I am npt supposed to use electronics for about a half an hour before I sleep, so that won't work.
